Old Time Radio on CD

Offered on CD in MP3 format, all discs in jewel case, nicely labeled - many, many hours on each CD.  Please note the MP3 format - these will play on most computer systems, CD & DVD players and newer car audio systems with MP3 playback capabilities. Sound quality is excellent on all but expect some light hiss & sound variation on a few episodes due to age of source. Refer to Home for shipping/insurance costs.

 

CD #1 -Box 13 - this CD features the complete Box 13 series (52 episodes) starring Alan Ladd from 1948 - Ladd has the perfect radio voice & series is well written and produced.  Each episode is approximately 30 minutes in length - great fun! CD #2 - Jungle Jim - great old show from the Alex Raymond comic strip. 412 episodes circa 1935-1940s, #1 thru 312 complete, then an incomplete run thru #627, each show approximately 15 minutes. Stars Matt Crowly to 1938, then Gerald Mohr, enjoyable adventure show on two discs.................. $6.00

 

CD #3 - The Shadow - 239 episodes, incomplete, from 1937 thru 1945. The Shadow is played by Orson Welles in 1937-38, Bill Johnstone 1938-43, Jon Archer 1944-45, Steve Courtleigh for Sept-Oct of 1945 and Brett Morrison 1945-54. “Who Knows What Evil Lurks In The Hearts of Men” - The Shadow, Margo Lane, Shrevie, Lamont Cranston all here. Each show is about 25-30 minutes….loads of fun!  2 discs............. $6.00

 

 

CD #4 - The Avenger - 25 episodes 1941-42, scripts by Shadow author Walter B. Gibson.  This Avenger is Jim Brandon who invents a telepathic indicator and black light of invisibility to fight crime-corny fun!..... $4.00

CD #6 - The Green Hornet - 90 episodes 1939-1952 starring Al Hodge from 1936-43 & Raymond Hayashi as Kato and the great “Flight of The Bumble Bee” is the opening music.  Created by George Trendle & James Jewell, GH is related to The Lone Ranger - talk about early continuity! CD #10 - The Adventures of Frank Race - excellent adventure melodrama starring Tom Collins as Frank Race & later Paul Dubof, 42 episodes, 1949-50. After WWII, lawyer Race trades his law books for a job with the OSS for espionage & adventure. One disc.... $4.00

 

CD #11 - Casey, Crime Photographer - “B” movie type detective/mystery melodrama based on novels by George Harmon Coxe.  71 episodes from 1945-1954 on one disc   $4.00
